"Dear Phillip, We were very happy with the music Diane provided! We had the 7 piece Elevation group and they REALLY made the party. We had a full dance floor for 3 hours. Since the wedding we have had many comments about how great the band was and the variety of music... where did you find that band! They have a long list of arrangements you can preselect. The arrangements are very full and rich... we went with the 7 piece to make sure we had variety of female and male vocals and the sax player... that really added to the sound. I appreciated the business like manner Diane uses to plan for the event including contract, music selection, arrangements with the reception facility etc. There were no loose ends. We had background music during social hour, built to a three piece group for dinner and then the band quietly slipped in and began music for the evening. We are already planning another dance party and plan to have Elevation "back by popular demand." A key feature of this group seemed to be they can pick up the vibe of the moment and adjust the music... length of song, intensity etc. If we had a group dance going they could keep the music going instead of cutting the moment short because the tune was done, etc. Summary: I highly recommend them. "Hello, I am happy to recommend Elevation Variety Band to you. Diane and the band are very professional and talented musicians. We were married June 25th, 2005, about 200 guests attended our wedding, the Jazz Trio played for 1.5 hours during dinner, and the 8 piece Variety Band played for 4.5 hours during the dance. One of my favorite parts of my wedding was the music. I was very happy with both bands and have had at least 30 people that attended my wedding compliment the bands. I have even had a few people ask me for their contact info and price range. I compared their music selection and experience to at least 10 other bands before booking them for my wedding. It is not that much more expensive to book the jazz trio in addition to the variety band and it made a huge difference at my wedding. A lot of guests do not stay for the dance portion of the reception (even if there is a live band) so having a band during dinner made the experience better for those guests. It also set the ambiance for dinner. Diane says she often uses different musicians for the two groups so it is truly a different band. Before the wedding Diane was very helpful. She even offered to learn two new songs for me. I am happy with the songs they played; it wasn't the same songs you hear at every other wedding. We had about 75-100 people stay to the very end of the dance. The dance floor was full all night. The only other thing I can say is that out of all the vendors I used for the wedding I am happiest with Diane Martinson Music.
I am happy with the service they provided me. I certainly hope that you decide to book them for your wedding and that you are as happy as I am if you do.
