Diane Martinson Jazz Duo (or Trio) provides wonderful background music to uplift private parties, wedding cocktail hour & reception dinners, company party, and social hour mixers in the Twin Cities. Live music provides a joyous ambiance at special celebrations.
Diane's unique, fun and affordable live music duo is the perfect choice for enhancing a grooms dinner, wedding reception, company party, birthday party, anniversary party, wine tasting /cocktail party, corporate awards celebration, or Christmas holiday gathering. Portable piano keyboard and sound PA is available for indoor or outdoor locations.

Enjoy the classic jazz hit music of Sinatra, Bennett, Fitzgerald, along with a mix of Swing, Broadway, Latin Jazz styles, R & B, and Pop hits. Diane and J.J. play the right mix of instrumental piano & vocal songs to keep your atmosphere lively, they maintain the appropriate volume level never overpowering, so there is plenty of room for your conversations over the music. You can select the songs played from their song list or they will select a wonderful mix of styles for you. Requests welcome.

The duo can bring a small sound PA for use with a provided piano, or The Martinson Jazz Duo's portable keyboard and sound system PA allows them to perform at indoor locations without pianos and outdoor locations with or without access to electricity.

In order to maximize your budget: Instead of hiring different cocktail /dinner musicians at a regular rate, consider having our ceremony pianist / musicians stay on to play during the cocktail hour and dinner at our lower rate. We easily transition music styles keeping that jubilant feeling flowing through the wedding, receiving line and into the reception. Our musicians have lower add-on rates, and this works well with ceremony musicians staying on into cocktail and dinner hour.
Budget Tip: You can hire vocalist Diane Martinson with her pianist to provide all the ceremony music needed, AND 1.5 hours of jazz cocktail music for less cost than having a string quartet for a ceremony.
A portable piano keyboard and sound system PA is available. Diane and pianist provide all ceremony music needed -prelude to postlude, and can continue on with wedding background jazz cocktail music and dinner jazz as a duo or trio.
