Diane Martinson Jazz & Swing Sextet
Diane Martinson jazz / swing bands deliver the wonderful Big Band era hit songs without the need for a large band area, or large budget. They have earned rave reviews from hundreds of Twin Cities special events since 1995. 
Entertainment is available in all price ranges, from solo pianist and small groups to the six piece dance combo. Diane can offer advice on planning the music and the best combination of musicians for your wedding reception. Instrumentation includes- piano, bass, drums, vocalist, saxophone and guitar. Bands can provide portable keyboard, and sound system PA Whether musicians perform background music at the cocktail hour/ dinner or are the featured band at the reception dance, the live music infuses the room with vibrant energy!
Diane Martinson musicians are always mindful of the appropriate volume for guests to socialize comfortably so there is plenty of room for conversation. We will tailor the music to fit your wedding reception and work with your schedule. We also welcome special requests from all styles of music.
What will be provided:
Equipment & Space Requirements (click here)The Martinson Jazz Combo works best with a minimum stage size of 4' x 6' for up to three musicians, 8' x 10' for up to five musicians, and 10' x 12' for six jazz musicians One electrical outlet is required. We can bring all the other equipment needed including up to 100 ft of extension cord if notified. A covering canopy, tent, or building shelter must be supplied for outdoor events to protect our equipment and instruments from direct sunlight, precipitation, and windy areas. We require 45 minutes to 1¼ hours of set up time depending on the group. It is preferable to know what time the room is available. In addition to prior planning, Diane will contact the location to arrange the details a week before the event. DMMI Musicians have performed at the following Reception Venues:
